Junkbox Jury Semi-final #1
Right, here are four tracks for you to listen to over the next week. Each is a new track off the four bargain-bin CDs that attracted the most enthusiasm (such as it was) from the first four Junkbox Juries.
Each of these CDs was found in a bargain bin and cost under £1. We’re here to give them a second chance. Was the first track selected a fluke, or is this still gold in the the hills? Are the hills, one might ask, ahem, still alive with music?
The artist selected by you in this first semi-final, dear reader, will go forward. The rest will remain in the Junkbox.
Here are the contenders:
From Junkbox Jury #1, 22-20’s with “I’m The One”
From Junkbox Jury #2, Sibrydion with “Clywch Clywch”
From Junkbox Jury #3, Springbok Nude Girls with “Baby Murdered Me”
From Junkbox Jury #4, Saturation Point with “Three_Point_Three”
So, there you have it. You be the judge. Enjoy!

My choice is Saturation Point: a bit contrived sounding but I always fall for a nice delayed bass. Good hangover music. The drummer needs to get off his rides though and it’s too long.
FWIW: Nude Girls: not bad, very 80’s indie sounding. The 22-20s: Guitar is very Neil Young, song is a tad dull. Sibrydion: bland, sounds like the theme tune to some kak daytime TV show aimed at yoofs: maybe a Welsh Hollyoaks. The singer’s voice is annoying, I bet he has a huge nose.

It’s Saturation Point for me as well.

22-20s for the great rock’n'roll, Saturation Point a close second.

I’m gonna have to go with Springbok Nude Girls, which is the best Fripp-era Bowie knock-off I’ve heard since Franz Ferdinand.
The last one was nice in an ambient sort of way and the first two were perfectly passable rawk tunes.
